OK,OK,Even though my newly acquired L81 has only 41k on her and had some work done to it. Ive noticed just today a couple of quirks.
This afternoon when driving around a little after work, engine fully warmed up and running smooth;all of a sudden she starts bucking and running erractic at low speed almost like in the old days when you had a wet or hairline crack in the distributor cap.
It did this for about a mile, then stopped. I got her home, took her out for another drive, topped off the tank with 89 grade, which i have been using since i got the car,and added some stp gas treatment.
Car runs smooth again,no bucking or hesitation.
Could it have been bad gas? water in fuel? or bad fuel filter. By the way where is the fuel filter located on the 81's?
Ive changed all the other filters already.
Also some of you may remember my earlier post on the headlight dimmer switch, and not having any interior lights.
Well Corvette Center swapped one out of a wrecked 80 vette and all dash light s work now as they should.
EXCEPT tonight when i took a drive after dark with lights on the gauges, and even the clock do not work, but do when the lights are turned off, they function perfect
As always,thanks in advance. Ken
