1990 Convertible
Hello all - remember back in July-August that 1990 (with 96 facias) convertible that I drove 1900 miles to go and get, and I got it for a gonga deal? (See pic as a refresher) Well, since my IROC wouldn't pass emissions and I haven't had any time to tinker with it, I've been using the 90 for a daily driver the past three months AND NO PROBLEMS, NO NADA, ITS BEEN A PERFECT PERFECT CAR! And, I'm finally comfortable in it so I can drive like a mad woman like usual. And... I know it is premature.... but I just ordered some custom plates for it because I should be getting my Doctorate here sometime in the next year so I hope you all don't think it is too cheesy (I'm actually thinking it might be a bit cheesy) but the plate will be Dr. Dawn. ha ha ha!! It was an impulse thing..... Don't know if I'm going to keep those plates or not.

Anyhow, there were so many of you that really helped me out to weigh out the pros and cons with it and I am forever grateful. Thought I would just let you know it certainly was not a lemon and I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT! Especially with the TOP DOWN! :lou

Dr.Dawn sounds :cool :beer

Yes but Dawn Dr sounds more sinister ;LOL You should celebrate your accomplishments. Good to see you are Driving your Vette Daily, too many people let them sit the more and Harder you dribve them the better they run!
"Dawns Daily Driver" now that would be Cheesy ;LOL

Glad to hear the car's running well. Congrats!

I had a friend who was a chiropracter and her plate was DR BACK. So I think it's just fine.

Did you have to tinker with it at all?

Why drive a Camaro when you can drive a Corvette?:L

Nope, haven't had to do a darn thing with yet - just changed the oil and give it a bath. No... I love my Camaros... they are different and unique; all the cars are - they each have their own quirks about them. I have to say, that covt doesn't have Any ROOM FOR NOTHING in it, so the IROC was a nice daily driver in that regard - besides it is ALL BLACK AND BEAUTIFUL TOO! ;)

My neigbor has a '69 Camaro that he has restored and then some. He had it painted gray with black stripes. It has a full racing cage. He has a 400 something CID motor in there with a 150 shot. He said he can run high 11's on motor. The rear tires are extremely wide and the front tires are skinnies.

He thinks any cam with less than .600 lift is small. :L

Not to mention that he has a spare part for every mechanical part for that car in his garage. I asked him why and he said, "I don't want to have to wait if anything breaks." :L

I can see it now ……..Paging Dr.Dawn you are needed in the Off road lounge.;LOL

btw that is a Nice Ride you have.:cool

And I bet they do. :L

Whats his gear ratio?

HA HA HA! I love it... I know it is kinda "boasting" a tad, but damn it, I've worked my ASS off these past years in school!! Its tough work!!!

I always liked the IROC Camaros. What year is yours? Of all the IROC cars they have had over the years, the Camaro is still the best. Congrats on the "non-lemon"!!

Black is nice, but too common! The white conv. w/red interior has more of a vintage look that does grow on you too. Your corvette makes a much better statement anyway.

Its a 1989 - the last year they made the IROC. Black with black top convertible. It is gorgeous. They only made a little over 3000 convt IROC's that year out of like 180,000 camaros built so it is a collectible to some degree. Purrs like a kitten!! Here is the only picture I have of it on digital!

I'm going to have to shift my mental image (from naughty nurse to Dr. Dawn) but congratuations regardless. You should be proud of your achievements. Get that licence plate!!
