Has anyone had any experience with this produce? A friend of mine uses it in his ’99 Viper, all of his family & company vehicles and totally swears by it.

Anyone use it….in particular, in a C-5?

IXL IS:
• An Anti-Friction Metal Conditioner
• An Extreme Pressure Hydrocarbon Compound
• Compatible with Petroleum Products Synthetic Oils, Freon, etc
• Anti-Corrosive Anti-Foaming
• Nonflammable Nonhazardous Biodegradable
• Fuel Efficient Cost Effective

IXL WILL: Reduce friction up to 75%
• Treat only where the friction is
• Condition ferrous based metals
• Protect engines (or metals) from oil contaminants such as water, antifreeze, etc.
• Lower operating temperatures
• Reduce particle contamination
• Withstand extreme temperatures
• Pour at 20°F (P.P.P. 35°)
• Condition seals and gaskets

MORE ABOUT IXL:
• IXL conditions the metal not the oil
• IXL is not a lubricant fortifier such as graphite, moly, or TFE
• IXL cannot build upon itself
• IXL will not change critical tolerances
• IXL will not effect oil filters

Thanks.

Looks like snake oil.

HI there,
If you check out your owners manual, you will see stated there that oil additives in Corvette engines are NOT to be used.

Thanks C4C5. I knew about the manual statement and just had a sneeking suspicion that you or someone would respond as you did. He may put it in his Vipor (guess that's where the snake oil came from) but I'll stick with leaving my C5 alone!

Thanks again. :)
