Has anyone put one of these under the hood of a C3 Vette?

I've heard from a guy with a C4 that it was too tall- but nothing about C3s.

if that is the Holley Stealth Ram I plan on using it in my 68 eventually, but I have a l-88 hood that should clear it.

I put a 84 crossfire air cleaner on my 82 and it rubs the bottom of my hood so I don't see how a stealthram could fit. I think the stealthram is more suited to f-bodies and hood scoops. But if you do manage to make it work with your stock hood I wanna see it LOL

If you look in Jegs or Summit catalogs it says right in the description of the intake that it will "NOT" fit a corvette with a stock hood.

I saw that too Art, but figured they were talking about C4s since C3s were never equipped with TPI from the factory.

I guess the question is "how much taller is it than TPI?"...

I can't get a picture to post in this forum:confused. If you check my pics you can see my system. It is aftermarket and made for much more power than a stock setup. Bigger runners and throttle body. I love it.

Don't know if this helps but I had a '65 FI unit on my '73 for a while and still had hood clearance.

Just doing a mental visual guessitmate from the manifold bolts to the top of the intake + box, I highly doubt you'll fit that under the stock hood. If you do, you'll definitely be hitting the bottom of the hood when the engine torques a bit.
