Have you ever noticed that the only place on our cars that have the Chevrolet name is the wheel center caps?

I thought that was interesting.

Actually I noticed that the other day. And on my 80, even the center wheel caps have the corvette emblem, not a GM or chevy mark anywhere except the seat belts!

I have thought of that too. Chevy didn't do too much advertising on the Vette itself when they brought it out. ;)

OK, I'll give on the keys, but the flag only has half an emblem.

On my '73 the nose emblems say Chevrolet.

Well, yes. They do have little things like that, but it's not like they wrote Chevrolet across the back of the Vette

Kinda still on subject,

Most DEALER STICKERS say chevrolet. example: Back Woods Village Chevrolet. I still do not understand why anyone would buy any new car and allow the dealer to put a sticker on it. On the same car I have even seen the stickers, license plate frames (front and back), and an antenna ball with the dealers name on it. The dealer turned that car into a traveling advertisement.

This is just not for me, take your junk off of my car! Your lucky I bought from you in the first place. Sorry about that, I just bought a new car.

My theory

I think Chevrolet plays it both ways.

A malibu is made by the same company as the Corvette.

A Corvette is nothing like other Chevrolets.

Sounds like a segment for Andy Rooney.

As for those dealership stickers: I have always pulled them off every car I bought. A Dodge dealership offered my first oil change free if his license plate frame was still on the car when I brought it in for service. Off with the Ads and on to the Speedy Lube!
