The new Corvette, C6:

1. fixed head lights
or
2. pop-ups

I have to pick pop-ups 100%.

We have all seen many beautiful vettes (C1 thru C5). Some with in-the-open headlights, some hidden. This question can only be answered by our reaction to the new design. Not every car with hidden headlights has been beautiful. If the vette steps away from pop-ups today, whose to say it won't return some day. One of the concepts has a slit for headlights that looks to be no more than 1-2 inches wide at its widest. That look is almost hidden.

However, the treatment shown by Motor Trend and Road & Track looks hideous. Let's hope the designers / engineers.

The C6 will have fixed headlights.:SLAP

If the fixed headlights are done in a well designed manner, then they will be another indication of the CORVETTE moving into the form of ecolution. Change is good.:v

I wish that there was spell check......or i should preview what I write. What I meant was that if the fixed headlights are done correctly, it will simply be the next evolution of a wonderful icon of American design.

Dragonslayer,

I agree. Let's hope design another future classic.

For me, it all depends upon the design. Some non-popup headlight designs are butt-ugly, others look cool. It all depends upon the shape of the headlight/cover and the quality of the intergration into the rest of the body.

I think GM should go with fixed lights. They are more reliable, but should stay away from making them look like imports.

;stupid

It's a done deal. Blocker44's picture is close to the way they will appear.

If money were no object on the upcoming C6, I'd like to see the best of both worlds.

A sliding body colored panel that would retract exposing the lights without having to pop up or electro photo sensing technology that would allow the headlight panel to be dark until a small voltage was applied where they would then turn clear.

OK, so it won't happen but it would be cool! It has already been established that they will be fixed on the C6.

They've had the pop-ups now for 40 years I'd like to see the fixed type again for a change.

I'm voting for some cool looking integrated lights. If they look like Blocker's pic. that would be fine.

I agree with Shark Chief

Keep it looking American with the same Vette taillight style and I'll eventually be OK with it.

in the future, I just don't want to have to do a double-take to see if that was a Vette or a 350ZX.

Ahhh this is not a choice sorry,... The C6 WILL have fixed lights.

My problem with pop-up's is they only look good when their down.

I would like to see GM step out of the box and go with fixed lights.

Either way, the C6 will be in my garage.

I want it now!!!
