I am putting in new headlight warning switches on my car this evening. The switch on the drivers side is working correctly. The one on the passenger side is not. It appears that the headlight is not coming open far enough to make the switch open. Where do I need to make my adjustment to get the headlight to open further? Do I need to pull the springs and adjust the end links or is there something else I am missing.
I have had the redlight on my dash since I have had the car. I tested it a few minutes ago and this last adjustment is gonna get the redlight off. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the help. I got it fixed this morning . No more headlight warning light. Yahoo!!! Its all the little things that are taking the longest amount of time.

My headlights are rubbing ever so slightly against the body when they raise. Is adjusting them a big deal?

Ok, I figured out how to adjust them in the closed position. The problem I am having is that the one just won't open enough. Both switch ASM's are broken off and I can't seem to figure out where they go.

Any help would be great!

I will run out and shoot you a pic. Hang on for a few minutes.

I took these with the headlights in the up position. The last one is with the mecanism in the position just before it is about to come down. It is best to install the switches in the down position. You may have to readjust how far your headlights go up so you can make up these switches once they are installed. Let me know if you need more pics.

Ed -

Your the best, thanks! I know where the switches go now. the only question I have left is how to make them open further?

Chesh, you are gonna need to screw the clevis out a little bit and see if that is enough. If not you will have to try again. It requires removing the springs that help the headlight mechanisms up and down.
