I replaced the striped gear in the headlight motor yesterday, and when I got it all back together, it doesn't have the same body gap all the way around. When I had the assembly out, I didn't notice a way to adjust it, but I may have over looked something. When the gear was striped and the lid was closed, it had about the same body gap all the way around. Now it has a big gap in the top right corner (towards the window) and is almost touching in the lower right corner (by the front bumper). When I did the gear change, I didn't remove the headlight lid. Any help?

Fix headlight cover alignment with 2 washers

I have the same problem after I replaced the gear.

I fixed it by using 2 nylon washers 'under' the cover at the 2 upper screws to bring the cover UP about a little bit more than 1/16.

Any washer between 1/16 to 1/8 will work, you might have to use a combination of washers. I just happen to have the right thickness washer, metal washer will work also.

Loosen the two lower screw first before the above procedure.:upthumbs Hope this will help.
