headlight motor

I have 2003 z06 . I keep replacing gear in the headlight motor. what turns off the12 volt power to the headlight motor .thanks del

The control module for the headlight doors/motors senses high current when the doors hit their stops and opens the circuits. There are no limit switches like in most similar designs like in my Pantera.
