headlights wont close

my headlights are frozen in the open position they wont close when shut off

I assume you want them to be able to open AND close? If you have accidentally pulled the "override" switch down they will stay open all the time.

TBTR could be right. There is a nob at the bottom of the dash, under the steering wheel. If it is pulled out it will keep your headlights from closing. This is there in case you want to clean your headlights, or if you stop for gas or what ever, you don't have to close and open the headlights when you turn them off.
