Headlights

Hi, My headlights started acting up, headlights come up in parking light position, but their not on, pull switch all the way out, headlights come on. The headlight motors run on after light is up or down, seems to be the RH light. I disonnected the battery until I can take a look at it. When the battery is re connected the head light motors come alive w/ thw headlight switch in the off position. Bad switch? Help Thanks

After the headlights are turned on and they rotate into position, you can turn the headlights off and if you leave the parking lights on the headlamps will remain in the open position. However, the lamp assemblies should not rotate into position if you simply turn the parking lights/driving lights on. At least they didn't in '87, my year model.

Sounds like you do have a switching problem, but I am unable tell you what it is. Sorry.
