Today I installed a HUD in my 09. It was purchased from PartsTaxi.com and came with everything necessary for a complete installation. This involved unbolting the dash and sliding it back enough to shoehorn the display unit into place. If I had it to do over I would remove the dash from the car. It would only take 5 more minutes to pull the steering wheel and completely remove the dash. Start to finish was about 6 1/2 hours. I'm a happy camper. Now it's time to decide on a personalized license plate. :cool!:

Good for you. I don't think I'd tackle that job.:thumb

. . . . . . . it's time to decide on a personalized license plate. :cool!:

:thumb on the personalized plate idea. I like to see some of the interesting plates people come up with when I'm cruising.

Here's my current one, a nod to Zora and my C5's pedigree:

Man, that's waaay too much work. I bet you're feeling a lot of satisfaction now that it's done. Having gone through all of that, you probably could do it quite a bit faster a second or even third time...sounds like a good sideline business for you... :cool!:

Not a sideline business, just a hobby. We tinker with cars almost every Saturday. For a long time it was Dodge Stealths. I have had nine of them over the last few years. Only two left now... Don't know what will be next.
