I didn't see the introduction thread here...my bad....
My name is Bob and I'm from Lake Havasu City, Arizona...Americas home of the London Bridge. After a 40 year wait, I got my first Corvette last weekend, a red '84 coupe courtesy of my 2 oldest children. They got tired of hearing about my dream car and wanted me to live my dream....
The Mrs. and the 2 girls still at home are so thrilled about the car as well; they argue over who gets to go out with mom or dad for the next ride.
The car has 163K on the odo and still has good compression, a strong tranny and runs great, but all the same, I have a master plan for it to give it a few more years of good service. I'm replacing the oil pump and oil pressure switch as the engine is getting there, both TPS units as it idles rather high, and the temp sender. The rest is cosmetic and my weekends will be filled with the rest of the list for a while.
I'm glad that there is a forum for Corvette enthusiasts and this one looks like a great place to hang out at. I hope to be a productive member in the near future. Thanks for having me aboard.
