Aluminum heads can be added with "no other changes" but, it is certain that the performance change you get will not be near worth the money.

In fact, you may loose performance because most of the aftermarket aluminum heads on the market have larger ports and the L83 can't use the extra port volume.

Now....if you use the cylinder heads as the core of a package of mods such as higher compression, different camshaft, ported intake manifold, bigger throttle bodies, headers and low restriction exhaust, then maybe the aluminum heads would make sense.
