I currently own a `02 Z06 and a `01 C5 and a `00 C5 conv. I was told that I could get a "complete Bodykit" of the Callaway C12 from a few corvette guys down in florida. Being alittle suspicous, I talked to Joanne Mercer from Callaway and they told me they don't sell bodykits just complete cars (kinda strange and all, since I was intrested in some performance packages as well). Im kinda confused now, can you or can't you get the body kit? Even if I couldn't get the whole kit I would love to get the "nose" and "headlights". What do you guys think? Do you know anyone with these parts? and if so whats the cost?

Thanks for your input

No, you can't get a C12 body. You have to buy the whole package.

Mmm...thats what I thought, but wasn't sure, thanks for the reply. Do you know of any "front conversions- ie: nose" similar to the callaway?

I only know of one company that does C5 body work that looks vastly different than stock....and it looks nothing like the C12. Might want to ask in the C5 forums.

Some of the issue with not having the full C12 conversion is that the body pieces can't be fitted without having the suspension updated as well. The control arms on a C12 greatly widen the "track" of the car. Rumor has it that the C12 is the widest permissable road going car in the USA. Something like 2 meters? If you put on body pieces without doing the whole shebang then the wheels would be several inside of the wheel wells.

2 meters is correct - the change is in the control arms so just changing wheel offset would not be the technically correct way to make that happen.

I have never seen pieces & parts of the C12's floating around - Callaway Cars does not sell individual pieces, esp w/ the C12 as if you did "just the front" end, the doors would still be narrow and would no longer align with the rest of the bodywork - I know this is not what you wanted to hear but hopefull provides some insight from what everyone has offered. :v

Raven,

Can you tell us where these corvette guys are? I'm in South Florida and if its close I'd like to check it out.
