Help Radio Out

Can anyone help with this problem?
When cleaning the dash i turned the dash light knob too far to the right and my dome lights stayed on all night and in the morning the battery was dead so i jump started the car and all presets came back but my radio is dead will not turn on, what do i need to do?
By the way Why didn't the lights turn off by them self anyway? the manual says that the computer turns off any lights left on by mistake.:cry

I believe that there is a security feature that disables the radio when all power is lost. If the radio is removed from the car, it loses power, unless the thief takes the battery, too. There is a code number that is keyed into the radio using the buttons on the front of the unit. You may get some help in getting the correct code from the dealer, as I think that code can be access with your vehicle identification number. At least that was possible with another car I had.
