I recently bought a replacement right rear wheel for my '87 Z52.(the stock one is slightly bent. )
The original wheel is a 16 x 9.5, as is the replacement. On the inside of the replacement it says: "MOUNT RIGHT SIDE ONLY" - so far so good.
However, when I took my bent rim off I saw the words "MOUNT RIGHT REAR ONLY"
I called the shop to ask some questions. It turn out that the replacement I bought was from the right front of an '87. The owner told me that he has never heard of a wheel being stamped the way I described and "shouldn't worry about mounting it."
Do I trust the shop owner?
