I have a 1992 corvette convertible 29 K miles . the car was in storage for most of it life. I have started restoring it . the problem I'm having now is. I have no control over the... Heater and AC control head ..the only button that works is the rear defogger .no other button on the control head works ..the heat is blowing but there is no control over it .
I have replaced the Heater and AC control head 2 times now and it dose not solve the problem .
I have the factory service manuals from GM .
I have check all grounds and voltage going to control head all OK I can get a reading on control display if I hold down auto fan buttons at the same time but it has know effect on anything .
Have no read out on control head display --can not get AC .can no control fan .blowing heat only . I have been reading about the blend door it has to make complete cycle . and wile it is doing this all of the controls are disable .
and it dose not matter if my control head is hook up or unhook it works the same .. I have 14 volts at control head that tells me the fan is running on high . I think the door is damage and not moveing.
I could use some help thank you
Gary

gary ,have you tried unhooking the battery for several minutes? went through the same bs with mine.changed out the head twice with no change.another module under driverside dash...name escapes me right now....has several vacuum lines changed that out also. try and do a search abunch of posts about the problems and some solutions.i finally had good luck by unhooking the battery, still not working 100% but its much better...good luck...bill

It's attached to the bottom of the heater box, pass. side-towards the front of car, as I remember when I replaced mine I pulled the carpet down a bit to gain access to all the screws and for removing and install--it's a little smaller than a pack of cigarettes and has 1 electrical connector.

I don't think however that it would cause the head display to be blank, it should set a code if the motor was bad, stuck or out of range. Have you tried pulling codes ? Even though you have no display --are any of the LEDs next to the buttons lit up ?
