Hi, hope someone can help.
I am busy restoring a 69 Vette and am about to purchase a set of 15"x8" Rally rims.
My Corvette restoration book recommends using 255/60 tires all round but I'm worried about them touching the body and ride handling.
The book also recommends staying as close as possible to the 27.1" wheel diameter, so that the gap between body and tire is not excessive, which I agree with.
My questions:
1. What is the backspacing, 4", 4.5", or 5"? if I wanted to use the above tires?
2. If I want to go with a smaller width in the front, let's say 235's, what tire profile and backspacing would I need to use?
Thanks.
