Hello future question answerers!
I am 51 years old and have always wanted one, now, I have one!! Bought a 1976 Stingray 3 weeks ago and am already in hog heaven. 48000 original miles, 2 owner, never wrecked, never repainted, always kept in a climate controlled garage, every thing except AC and radio work.
I have been known as Elcaminobill for years, (owned 5).
First question is..Do I need to change my name to Corvettebill?
Second question..I am getting ready to paint my car, would like to replace the front and rear bumper with fiberglass aftermarket parts. Who has done this? What brand did you use? What brand should I stay away from? Is this a bad idea?
Third question..Do I spend the money to install vintage air, or replace the compressor on the original system?

.....I'm pretty sure you will be better off keeping the air conditioning stock but you will have to research what is really wrong with it. Is it just low on Freon or is the compressor shot? Then there are the other components of the system to consider. Still think its best to stay stock but others may have different opinions........can't tell you about your other questions....good luck with your car they are a lot of fun....
