I was reading a discription about an 85 vette for sale on ebay. The discription indicated that 500 cars in 85 had mistakenly been given higher compression. Does anyone know more, like how much compression and what cars ?????

i have an 85

my 85 seems to be really really fast
much faster then most vetts

but then i blew the head gasket
and i had someone fix it and the car has never ran godo since

hmm

I didn't know aluminum head gave more compression

anyways having more compression doesn't matter does it

i was told
thats why when u do compression checks
its ok to be between 100 and 130
cuase 30 off doenst affect much,,to even notice

it doens't make since to me
is this true

i still think the more compresison ther better

The person selling the car was a GM tech and privy to the information. The car is for sale on ebay and worth a look at least for the discription.
