Hi all....

Don't want to be a pain, but now that I'm actually DRIVING my '97, and not just LOOKING at it on the driveway, I'm hearing noises....

...this one is a very high pitched squeel coming from right behind driver's seat. When I get in and start, no noise, as soon as seat adjusts to memory position, the noise is there.

...I assume it has something to do with the motors controlling the seat adjustments, but I was hoping someone knew exactly what was up and how I should handle.

Thanks.

It's probably the Fuel pump. Mine makes that hi pitched whine (squeal) in the mornning at startup. It goes away. I don't really notice it anymore. It has been doing it for 145,000 miles, so if it was something going bad it would have by now.

Checked other threads and they all pointed to fuel pump. I called the local dealer service department and talked to someone who actually knew what I was talking about!

They said that being as the car only had 24k miles on it, to bring it in and get it fixed!

Do you think they meant for free (as in on-the-house)? as in under warrenty? as in gratis?

Yeah...sure...

:duh
