Entirely a Hypothetical question mind you .........:Steer ;LOL :_rock

But let's say for arguments sake, you were running down a very smooth highway at 100mph, kicked it up to 125 had a nice smooth ride, pushed to around 133 or so..... and started to expereince a slight shimmy, nothing bone jarring mind you, but got your interest, what would you think it would be, and what to check for?? Lets say it was a 1996, auto, with brand new Goodrich G-Force radials, newly balanced with <50 miles ??????? and was on your first ride in this vehicle...... strictly as a question for debate ....... Of course. ;)

ah, um, cough ,cough .... Ahem!

Lets say this vette had, oh I dont know............52,814 miles on it :D:J

c5d....Great starting point's to look at I would say .............. IF this ever happened............ thankie ;)

I would check the balance but that is not the only thing to check. You might have good balance and the tire's or tire can be a bit out of round of which case if a car is driven at those speeds I have the tires shaved and balanced. And do inspect the tire's often for imperfections of any kind. I have had a tire explode on me one time at 140mph and was not a fun thing to happen. It was a right front tire that went. what was funny was that the tire did not go flat the only thing left was the very last piece of rubber of the tire more like an inner tube with sidwalls lol. But the main bulk of the tire that came off went through the bottom of my car and into the cab. When It did come apart I did the only thing I ever knew and grew up knowing lol. You do not touch anything if you can keep it straight and just let it roll to a stop no brakes or any other input and usually if a tire does come apart at those speeds the front end will stay up till oh about 45 to 55 mph before the nose would drop. I was very happy it never did drop :).

OMG. Lets say Highway patrol was on the other side of, whatever.
?
I'm lost.
