I'm replacing the stock Rochester Q-Jet carb with this Holley 4175 650cfm vacuum secondary carb. (list #7002-1) Does anyone have any issues they've encountered with this replacement? I'm waiting for a rebuild kit for it, but I've test mounted it to the intake. I removed the EGR valve assembly & hoses & plugged the hole in the intake from that. (I'm not too concerned about emissions!) Everything seems to be fine as far as it fitting after that. Its actually a little shorter in height than the stock carb. I'm hoping it doesn't turn out to be just a gas guzzler. Anyone with previous experience with this carb???

THANX!!!

Thanx for the link! That might come in handy!

P.S. Still waiting for rebuild kit for carb but, for anyone's future reference, the thread size on the back of this holley is 1/8 NPT. The size on the 74' Vette connection is 3/8. You'll have to be creative with some adapters!
