I wanted to have some in-car video from track day but couldn't justify the $350.00+ for a harness bar just to get the camera mount so, I figured out one of my own. It's made with 11/2 inch PVC. the mount bolt is 1/4-20 X 2.5" with lock and fender washers. It fits against the cargo bulkhead and uses the pressure from the seats pushed all the way back to hold it in place. All in all it's pretty stable (especially for the $12.00 price tag!). Here is a video link to show how it worked:

Great mod. :thumb Is the mount bolted to the car some way?

Not the first time out. The pressure from the seat backs and lower seat pans is surprisingly strong but it would be simple to tie it down to the driver seat frame next time, just in case.

NICE idea, and REALLY NICE cost. One piece of advice............PATENT THAT SUCKAH!
