Hi,
I just found myself the owner of an 87 AZ car than needs paint bad. It has a custom color that is pretty ratty. I have a few questions
1. Hood Emblem: How do you remove it?
2. Paint removal: Any suggestions? Anyone know the composition of various panels (roof, doors etc) I think the roof is plastic and I may use a bumper stripper. How about a DA
3. Power windows: The passenger side has a short. If I pound on the door it works sometimes. I have heard horror stories about replacing the motor. This short may be in the motor but I don't know. Any experienced advice out there?

1...Open the hood, behind the emblem are 2 nuts...remove them...Be careful you don't drop them or you will need to go fishing with a magnet. Sometimes their is an adhesive backing on the emblem also. After you unblot the emblem take a piece of fishing line or dental floss and saw it under the emblem.

2...I used media blasting, but the person needed to be highly experenced at what they are doing. You may want to just start wet sanding.
