Hood Emblem

Im looking for a hood emblem for my 1981 vette I know they are tough to come by does anyone know who has them Thanks

i have one, but its for my car. :lol:

they are hard to come by since they are no longer made. I found mine on ebay about a year ago. Since then i have seen a couple others on ebay. Thats my best answer.

You might be able to get a used one from a Vette junk yard.

I bought a new one from TLD at Carlisle for $29 for my 1980.

just looked at that website...no 81 front emblems. I was hoping, i would have bought a few of them.

'80's are a dime a dozen.

Kinda of weird since about the same number of vettes rolled off the assembly line in 80 and 81.

Try ZIPCorvette, PN ZIP-T-329. They have it listed with no price on the website, so give them a call, I've always had good results with them.

there is a used one on ebay right now currently up to $71. thats about what i paid for a new one on ebay last winter.

I it isn't an emergency I'd wait it out. I was able to pick a new '81 emblem off ebay about a month ago for $43, shipping included. I had been looking ever since I bought my Vette and that was about 4 yrs ago.

That previously mentioned ebay auction for the '81 hood emblem ended at about $90. I guess that will give those of us who are looking for one an idea of what the market will bear.

We have a "Bunch" of 1981's around here Thanks for your recent Registration, and Welcome to the Registry..

Boy if we can find an aftermarket vendor that has these nose emblems, it may help bring down the price some people are demanding for them. Last year I gave one to a member in Texas that couldn't find one, wish I had a few dozen of them around here.... At one time I had 3 of them, 1 new and 2 used, I don't have a clue where the 2nd used one went :confused

Thanks for the welcome, I'm glad to be here!!
I just looked at the Ecklers catalog and they list the emblem as discontinued, but the 80 emblem is exactly the same except the flag handles are chrome and sells for $31.99. With a little finess and a little black paint who is gonna know the difference???????? (cept maybe us)

Shucks, mine has been waxed so much the black paint is wearing off anyway....LOL:duh
