Is there a spade connector at the base of the steering column for the horn? I cant get my horn to work . . horns are ok because they sound when I give them direct power . . . I replaced the relay . . that didnt help . . I have power to the horn button . .but there is a black spade connector at the base of my steering column that is disconnected as well as a flesh colored wire with a spade connector that is disconnected as well . . should I plug them together . . doesnt seem right . . .

Can't tell you for sure... the horn wire is tan and comes from a terminal on the horn relay, through one of the firewall harness connectors and up the steering column to the horn switch, which grounds it to blow the horn. How did you get power to the horn button? You can try checking those wires you found for 12v, and touching each of them to ground (while depressing the horn) to see if it blows the horn. You'll have to figure out where those wires are coming from.

Horn Problems

Check continuity through the steering rag joint.

The horn button gets its ground (to trigger the horn relay coil) through the steering shaft, through the rag joint, to the steering gear; if you don't show continuity from the upper flange to the lower flange, the horn won't work.
