It seems like I am getting a small air flow of hot air thru the A/C vents no matter what postion the fan and thrumb wheel switch are in. What can cause this? It gets worst as you move to Max A/C and heater and even in the vent postion. When the switch is in the off postion its the least amout of air flow but there is still some, it comes out of both the floor vent and the panel vents, what can I do?

I've always put a valve in the hose to the heater and shut the hot water off from the heater core in the summer. You may also have some issues in your cables to the doors.

On my '77 the low blower is always on...something to do with the ventilation. You can trace the wire at the blower resistor (under the hood on the heater box) and disconnect the brown wire i(n my case) and it no longer blows all the time.

Thanks, I will try both, I am replacing the hot water shut off valve anyway becasuse I am replacing the heater hose's so I may as well put in a shut off valve to the heater and I can find that wire and unplug it also. Thanks

I can't help you with the blower problem. Mine doesn't blow when in the off position.

But putting a ball valve inline with the heater core hose will make a noticeable difference inside the cab.

Good Luck!

Take a look at the rear hood seal. If this is not properly sealing against the top of the cowling, hot air from the engine compartment will enter the duct work.

Great I will check that also, Thanks
