How about these injectors?

The previous owner of my '89 Ebay rat installed these from this place. As the ad says, they are "take offs" from new engines (the previous owner told me the seller makes race motors). The rat seems to run just fine with them. Why don't you contact the seller and find out more about the seller and injectors and let us know what he says?

Great idea, Chris. I did after you posted and he responded back:

Edmond-This set is a crate motor takeout set.
No miles - brand new parts.
Check out one of the corvette forums to see what others say about their experience with our D9B replacement injectors.
This is a proper replacement part for all L98 Corvettes from 1985-1991.
We have sold more than 1000 of these Bosch sets for the L98 Corvette.

He seems to be pretty big. He has 2056 positive feedbacks and a 99.7% positive response.

I'm going to order a set this week. Now, what to do with the intake... :D

Great! Ebay has done for autos and auto parts what the internet has done to the old mainstream news shows---totally get around the various monopolies and the like which forced you to have to listen to them or deal with them or take all your ques from them./s/ Chris Kennedy

I was also watching an auction for some large tube runners, they might've been TPIS large tube runners. They ended the auction around $225 or so. You think that was a good deal?

The way I'm looking at it, I'm just going to comb eBay and the classfied ads of all the Corvette online forums to buy my parts with the exception of electrical parts. There was a guy advertising some Edelbrock RPM heads for $900. I thought about jumping on them but I'm going to see what I can do with my stock heads for my application. I just want something that is a street machine, not something for the track.

The injectors arrived today. They are brand new, still smell very new. They have not been used. They are the Ford injectors. I'm pleased so far, I'll have to see how they are when I put them on the car.

I talked to someone as Cruzin Performance and asked him if I was better off buying new injectors or having my old ones cleaned thoroughly. He was very honest with me by saying that they could clean them as well as they came from the factory. However, he also said that GM had quite a wide variation in what was the acceptable variance. He told me 10%, which was not acceptable by his measures. I agreed with him.

He said that if they came from the factory 10% off, that's the best they could clean them. The would clean them the best and they'd still be 10% off. It was $12 an injector, or $96 for the set of 8 plus shipping. I decided to spend another $100 and get new injectors.

Now it's time to figure out what to do with my heads.

Got a set of FMS "blue tops" for the '85 to replace the gunked up stockers. I have a set of OE takeouts from a 30,000 mile '88, but wanted new. They'll look peachy with the Moroso Blue Max wires I'm putting on....

Witchhunter's Excellent Service

Just wanted to plug our CAC member's service. Sent him four injectors from the MR2 I run for the kids on Monday. Individually packaged and numbered. Received them back on the following Saturday. Indivudually packaged and numbered. Included test report and replaced parts. Great Job!
