I have the valve covers off my brother's '84. They are prepped and ready for powder coating. The problem is I can't get these rubber things off. It is the piece that the pcv valve goes into. The rubber is really hard and has a metal box assembly on the inside of the valve cover. Thanks for any help.

The metal inside the cover is a baffle to prevent excess oil from blowing back into the throttle body through either the vent or PVC. The grommets should just pop out. ;)

They are real hard. I just found out they are sold separetly so i'm going to give it another try before I rip them out:). Thanks.
