How is getting in/out of a C5 compared to the C4?

Note to familyman

It's just that I wouldn't want you do something stupid and loose your Corvette in the settlement.

Hi Remo,
Roger that.
Thanks for he heads up.
But, if the correct beautiful woman would acknowellege the Vette and get in it, there would be no court problems.
Sorry to unload.

We're getting a little off-topic here (BTW, I've had two C4s and now a C5, and entry & exit is much better in the C5) but in the past I've found that women really don't care much for Corvettes (or the mid-life crisis gold-chain wearing men that drive them) but men really do like the car. They come up to me all the time in parking lots, gas stations, etc. So, if you're gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) then the Corvette is your thing. If you really want to pick up women with a car, then you need something "cuter", like a meeotter, Z3, something with a bit more estrogen than testosterone.

FWIW, my girlfriend thinks my car is "cute" but that's not why she's with me... (thank God).

My brother in law has a 96 vert. That sold me on the idea of getting one for myself. The difference between the two is major. I have banged a knee, ankle etc... getting into his. :eyerole My C5 on the other hand is a dream. Yes I am one those older guys (54) that needs a little help now and then folding the joints.:pat

I've owned both a c4 and c5 and the c5 is much easier to get out of. But, I lost my c4 when I was double tee boned. The frame rail next to the seat of the c4 stopped an oncoming Ford Probe (no lie) and saved me from injury.

But the c5 does more than a c4. All around it is a better car.

Imho

Great observation, and down here I would have to say a Boxster must be the ticket, because I always see guys driving them, and my impression of it was that it was aimed at women primarily from a design/marketing standpoint.

FWIW, my wife LOVES the Vette. And she is getting good at figuring out good excuses as to why she needs to drive it.... which is not a bad thing I guess.

Should I tell her about this thread? Maybe if the premise here is true she could pic up a guy and runaway with him....oh well one can always wish right?

JUST KIDDING.

IN AND OUT

I've found the key to getting in and out of my C5, or any similar car for that matter, is proceedure. You have to use a different proceedure for ease. If you stand with your butt toward the center of the vehicle and sit down while both feet are on the ground and then rotate while leaning back a little a 6'4" person can enter the Vette without much banging of knees and ankles at all. You also don't tend to "plop" down in the seats as much.
