I have Thrush 2 chamber Muflers now wifes says they are to loud.
There just as loud as Flowmaster 40"s..
How Loud are Borla Stinger cat back Mufflers compaired to Flowmaster 40"s.
And how are the standered 2.25 Borla direct fit mufflers.
I also had a set of Magnaflow's they 2.25 they were to quite for my taste.

Second question you may want to ask... Do they drone, resonate etc.? YES!

Corsa - nice rumble at idle and plenty loud under throttle plus no drone/resonance at cruise.

I have cat back Borla's and they are not loud till you open the throttle.

I've got a pal with an 02 Z06 and he's got Borla Stingers on the car. Even with cats, they are loud. He's going to headers and no cats and the noise ought to deafen him out of the car when at high throttle openings...on the other hand, maybe the reason he's got that exhaust is he's already "deaf".:chuckle

FWIW- YouTube has a lot of videos of exhaust systems.

Granted... the sound is only as good as your PC, but it should at least give you an idea.

Good luck & hope that helps! :thumb

These sound files don't communicate whether there is a drone/resonance while cruising.

Sounds clips are not all that great.

I end up Ordering a set of Borla 11134 slip fit mufflers with the 2.250 pipes.

They say they are louder than stock Mufflers but no drone inside the cab at cruise.

They were $417.00 No tax free shipping on Amazon.

Now I need to crawl under the car again and cut off the welds where the pipes slip joins at are now.

So when the pipes show up during the week it be all ready for to be put on.

But I doing more than 1 thing as long I am under the car again.

Installing a higher reving Governer in the trans and fixing the Lock plug that go's into the trans it has a broken wire I think once I get the Lock working again my MPG might go up.:L

Cut off the old exhaust about 3 hours latter the New Borla Exhaust showed up on the UPS truck Ya.
But as normal with my luck Bad LOL it missing 2 ball joint flanges.
So I on hold once again.
I wrote Borla a E-Mail with any luck they will ship me the missing parts I need to finish the exhaust instalation soon.

Borla just called me back there arte shipping the ball flanges out this comming monday.
Thanks Borla.

There on fired up the Vett sounds good I take for a drive tommarow.
But they dont have the nasty sound of the 2 chambered mufflers did at idle from standing behide the car.
But much better already just sitting inside the car no drone yet.

Took a drive down to the local donut shop across town the car sounds liveable from the inside of the cab it mostly a 45 MPH drive where the car had a lot of headach causing type Drone not there anymore I have not had it on the HWY yet.

But at 55 MPH it was a very bad drone before I think if there's going to be any at all it be very little.

Ya Ya I dont want to hear it 55 MPH you have to go that slow every now and then when it the speed limit when a Cop behind you, Stuck behide someone else thats doing 55 or just could be one of those days LOL.;LOL

Up on the Hwy

Took the car up on to the Hwy at 55MPH same amount of dronevery little as at 45 MPH very nice at 70 legal speed limit you can hear it butnot much 70+ it the same as 70 MPH not saying I was speeding that be wrong ofme to speed.

Now you can drive the car long distances without going deafdoing so or have your ears ringing after you get out the car for next couplehours any more.

Just to recap these are Not the Borla Stingers Part # 11134 are the slip on type mufflers.
