How to identify a SNAT engine?

You may remember me from the Dutch SNAT I ran into

Since then I had a few discussions with some people on IF this was a SNAT engine and that such an engine would be clearly identifyable.

My question is: is there a shure way to identify a SNAT 6,2 liter V8 from a normal LT1? I know this car has the fuel rail covers, but anybody can stick these onto any LT1. Is there a casting number or some item that only a SNAT engine has?

Here is a thread all about our learning curve on the subject - For mine, the internals were verified at Callaway however, they may be able to work with you if the car was inspected at your local shop.

Mario, above all, that is the key before you go into more details.

I had my Supernatural pan & intake removed and there is a way Callaway Cars can tell if it what went in there based upon that.

Just to remove the pan was about $350 bucks but worth its weight in gold with the positive outcome.
