Question: How to install new hood weatherstripping on a 76 vette?

Hello,
Well, since my 76 vette did not have any hood weatherstripping on it and I've been reading posts where it is helpfull in reducing heat into the interior of the car I ordered some from one of the corvette suppliers. My question is what is the proper way to install the strip? Like where does it attach and how do you hold it in place while the adhesive is setting up. Appreciate any help from others that have installed this in the past. Thanks

My advice is to purchase the '76 assembly instruction manual (AIM). The AIM will show the factory installation of the weatherstripping.

You will need a tube of 3M automotive weatherstrip adhesive.

I cut mine unlike what you see pictured. I cut mine to have shorter runs down the hood.
