Question: How to keep 2003 Z06 interior noise levels in check

I have two low mile 2003 Z06's that I'm concidering but my wife thinks they have to much interior noise. Has anyone tried the cabin partition or added floor insulation to help with this? ;help

First, welcome to the CAC.

I have done both. The partition is very easy, and I like the looks, anyway. I installed some insulating material from Lowe's at a relatively low cost. See these threads:

I did essentially what is shown there. It makes a HUGE difference. Some NCRS person will curse me in 30 years for doing that. But Hey! It's my car!

Welcome. A couple of years ago I had the entire floor and back area done with foil outside with "mat" material between the sheets. My interior guy bough a box (40 Sq. Ft. I think) and installed it from a local car stereo shop. Check the "search" function and you can find my post. I had someone do it since I travelled a lot on business. What a difference. Almost as good as activating the TPS system. If you can't locate my post just get me back channel at melsy@bellsouth.net and I'll look for it. Worth every penny and I didn't do the doors. I bought my '03 Z new in Sept. 2002, #5224. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't decided if I will buy either. I did find in my search a C6 as well that is low miles and one owner far the same money. Such a dilemma to be in!!
