Wondering how to remove the battery on a 1984 C4.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Searched, couldn't find it.

If it is the same as my 91, you have to take off the cruise control module and bracket.

There's that....or just remove the gill panel right behind the front tire.

ZumZum is right. The lower access panel behind the driver's side wheel is the proper (and simplest) access to the battery.
1) turn wheels to left & open hood
2) remove 5 screws holding rear of fender well to access panel
3) remove upper bolt on top of access panel
4) loosen (don't remove) lower bolt; along the bottom of the panel is an indent just large enough for an open end wrench.

The whole process shouldn't take more than 5-10 min. 20 - if someone's standing there giving you advice . :L

The Corvette Magazine site is actually WRONG for an 84.

You NEED to remove the bottom rocker panel 10mm bolt. Only later did GM notch the panel tab so it slides out unless someone already "fixed" it for you :-)
You will also have to loosen the rocker panel bolts under the door to remove the bolt.
When you remove the panel cut the bolt hole that is "O" shaped so it looks like a "U" so that in the future you can slide it off like in later years.

Its also NOT necessary to trim any of the plastic to fit an Optima.

Guys/gals, thank you very much, don't post much here, but this site and the people on it are always most helpful.

Thanks again. Enjoy the summer.

Besure to align the fender once you replace the battery. If not done correctly the door will make contact and wear the paint and rub down the plastic fender edge.
