how to ruin a nice C5

Evening of December 23 ... sweetie & I were riding through Florence SC in rather spiffy GMC Sonoma I just got. While stopped at a light, a VERY pretty white C5 coupe pulled into traffic from side street. I commented "that's what you can get me for Christmas." Alas, the reply was not encouraging ... although not unexpected. Anyway, a few minutes later I pulled up beside the white C5. As I did I see there's a bumper sticker plastered across its tail ... read something like this ... "The only drug test I'll do is urinalysis ... wanna taste?" ... as I pulled a bit further it appeared the driver may've been a male teen.

The tail of a C5 is a pretty vast expanse ... IMHO any bumper sticker there ruins the C5's fine look. No kidding ... no pun intended ... regardless of location ('cept maybe inside a HS hall locker) ... the sticker I read was in really BAD taste.

BTW, the p/up I got is used ... had a few stickers on it too ... first one I removed was "Girls Kick Azz" ... it was hot pink! Even though I like Dale Jr, I peeled his trademark off too.

I could never see myself putting a sticker on any of my cars, nonetheless my Corvette. I wonder what those people are thinking???

Just wait until that guy wants to sell that car and can't get that sticker off without taking some paint along with it. He will be :cry

I think they should have an age limit for the purchase and use of such a fine vehicle. What do you think ...about 22 years before you are allowed any where near a fine corvette or any other quality car for that matter.

And while we are at it, how about a misdeamenor crime if caught putting a bumper sticker on a 'vettte, Porsche, Viper, Ferrari etc...?

Bumper stickers on any car are a waste. Do people actually think someone else cares what they find witty? Do I care about what politician you are voting for? No. People like that should keep thier opinions in their heads, behind their closed lips, and not on their cars, especially if its a Corvette. People who sticker up sports cars should have their backsides sanded, primered, and painted the most ridiculous combination of colors imaginable......such as teal with pink stripes.

HEY HEY HEY!!! Wait a Minute I was 20 when I bought my 95' I am now 21 and I don't do bumper stickers on my C4 I love it too much, most I have done is put 2 small stickers (heartbeat Stickers)on the corner of the hatch glass which can be easily removed.. I'm never selling it.. I may buy another at some point.. but you'll have to pry the keys out of my cold dead hands...

BTW I also wrench on vettes for a living (not all the time but ocasionally)


SO in conclusion not everyone under the age 22 should be kempt away from these magnicicent machines..

Bumper stickers can be funny!

But you'll never see one on one of my vehicles! I even dislike the little "oil change reminder" stickers. They get removed before I even roll out of the lot.
I am who I am and I don't need any sticker to tell you what I'm about!

Reminds me of the large sign proudly displayed at one of the gates at Eglin USAF base near Ft Walton FL. The gate goes into one the areas for a certain fighter wing (group) ... I don't remember which wing ... the sign reads "World's Largest Distributor of MIG Parts."
