just figured out actual temps..on at 175 off at approx 157..is this too low

if so how do i fix

thanks

Fan settings are in the chip, and they are too low. Go back to the stock chip if you dont want them running all the time.

Changing the stat will not affect fan settings.

this weekend i took my chip out to see what i had, and i have a hypertech. my fans are coming on at 170 and never seem to shut down. and thats with a 195 T-stat in. i think its to cold so i am going to get something differant. i would go stock but it makes the fans come on to late i think, so i want something in the middle.

The fans would come on at 230. They made it like that for emissions. Personally, I agree with you when you say it comes on too late. But I guess that's what they needed to do for emissions when they came out with the car. What you do with the car after you buy it is up to you. :L I have mine set to come on at 200 and off at 190. I also use a couple bottles of Water Wetter in there to get the temps down a little quicker when I get moving.

i just installed a custom chip rrubel let me try and i removed my hypertech one. alls i can say is what a differance!! my vette idles better, no hesatation, and even more power!! its like another vette!!
