Hypothetical VIN question

So I am not so paranoid after all

I just recived my may issue of cars and parts corvette,Witch I mistakenly thought wa scorvette fever or vette magazine,(because it has a C5 on the cover )Anyways page 72 of Nolands courner has two folks asking question on state re-asigned vins and they both are trying to get the frame vin number made into a reproduction style body plate to eliminate the re -assigned vin.Excactley my biggest fear that if they are succsesfull there may be a body with there vin on it legally registered and the poor guy who ownes it now has two cars with the same vin on it on is correct and one is not.It maybee his body is not correct who knows but this is why they cant be left on the frame.
