OK, so now I know where everyone went. I've noticed the corvette forum getting a little "slow". It's refreshing to see a bunch of new posts. youwish2beme (Dave) said this is the place.

It just took me a while to find it.

:beer :beer :beer :bar Not that I like beer or anything.

Dave good to see you made a name for yourself here. I still go back and forth so I'm not a diehard like some of the guys but still like it here. I'm hoping to make it back up there on the weekend of Sept 7th for the show at the Museum.. Dave...

Davo, not sure who you are, but welcome aboard. I WAS FXT from the Corvette Forum. :)

As you may be aware, several members migrated over here from the CF, due to the administrator's refusal to eliminate certain cyber vandals whose sole intent is to harass other members to get their particular type of sick entertainment, as well as to boost their tremendous egos. Same goes with the NCRS Tech Discussion Board as well. I've had it with both those sites.

I've heard through the grapevine here that Moderator Rob Loszewski has stated that anyone who makes harassing posts will be swifty given the axe.....no questions axed. Of course, I'm not referring to you. Apparently, this Forum is closely monitored. :beer

Hmmmm, I'm not sure how to take that, but let me clarify a little before everyone runs away in fear. :L

Actually, I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, and a second chance in most cases.

We do run the forums a little more...."structured" than some of the other forum sites do. I'm not crazy about flaming, especially when it comes to new members who are or are not new to Corvette. We all have to start somewhere.

As far as the forums being closely monitored, I guess you could say, "yes" or "no".

The Moderators don't really do much moderating because to be honest with you, we really do have a fantastic group of folks here and everyone pretty much gets along with everyone else.

The Moderators have a clear understanding of how I would like things to operate and if a situation would arise, they are usually very quick to act on it, and call me in for a second opinion if necessary.

In all honesty, I think we have one hell of a class-act crew here and based upon the feedback I've received from people here at Corvettes at Carlisle, a lot of other people would agree with me.

On that note, welcome to the Corvette Action Center Davo. :)

Thanks for the welcome!

My participation on the CF went down b/c of the ego thing. I see a lot of new members here and look forward to some great discussion.

Dave what picture?? Did you have to many of the monkey's last night man?? Oh and you like beer?? Does a bear &*$# in the woods:L :L :L :L :L I'm ready to take the 6 out and go see that 67 I told you about. He's got it almost ready to be back on the road. On a side note it sat for 3yrs wrecked and apart and Jerry (Reviver) put it back together in about 4 months and did all the body and paint himself. He's a mad man... Talk to you later.. Dave.. p.s. there's a pretty nice 66 coupe down here for sale e-mail me or call if you want to know more about it..

Dave,

The first picture I did was huge. How did you put it on the left side (small) under your sig.?

It must have been the "Monkeys" :beer They are skull crushers.

Unfortunately, I am out of town on the 7th (for the car show).... Going to PA. Were you going to bring the 66 or just go take a look. It's a cool show and benefits the museum. There were some nice cars last year.

We need to get that red, white and blue shot.

I looked at a 66BB 390hp Roadster on Friday. It's a very solid unrestored solid driver from New Mexico. The cool thing about this car is I can a have a BB that I'm not afraid to drive and not spend $$$$$ (hard to find these days). Originally Mosport Green but painted maroon (the color of your dad's car) now. KO's and straight exhaust. It runs strong. The owner may want to get a motor home so he hasn't decied to sell yet.

Welcome Davo!

Welcome to Corvette Action Center.

The small picture to the left of everyone's post is called an avatar.
Members can change theirs by going to "Settings", listed under the blue tabs at the top of the page, and then Edit Options. The section about changing your avatar will be at the bottom of the page. We have avatars that you can select from, or you can use your own.

If you use your own, it must be sized to 110x110 pixels. Save that small pic somewhere in your computer, then to select it under your avatar use the browse feature, find the saved small pic and select it. It will be downloaded into the CAC for use as your avatar.
Heidi :w

For other pics, like signatures or attachments, we request that they be sized under 468x300 pixels OR 30kb. This keeps the forums moving quickly for the dial up members. (like me :()
Attachments can be downloaded like the avatars, sig pics must be hosted on a website that allows linking.

Welcome to the :CAC I am confident that you will find this site to be user friendly and a great source of information. We do not have the numbers of members that CF has, but we have some really strong tech members who are more then happy to anwser questions. We look at quality not quantity! :beer

This is a really great place, but the bastich adminstrator still won't put in a Snapple machine. ;LOL

It's not in the budget for this fiscal year. ;LOL

Tom guarantees that with the pink slip of his 59;LOL. Right Tom;).

I don't think so Eric. It may be spread all over the shop and the basement but it's my pile and I'm keeping it.:L

Now I really like this forum...you can just give each others cars away... how cool is that. Hey a 59 in pieces, that's ok I have space in my basement. The headlights could replace my mirror ball and the seats would work for a couch. :cool

78SilvAnniv---Thanks for the infor on the avatar. I will work on that soon.
