smurfvet,
I'm glad to have been of service. :J
So far in my lifetime I have bought some 30+ cars with only 2 of them being new, so I have what us old-timers like to call life experience
Having been unedjucated on a few of my purchases when I was younger (full of p*** and vinegar) and having been burnt bad in the deals. I now go into every potential purchase with more information generally then what the owner does.
I carry around a stock set of car inspection tools;
6 ton jack, flat head screw driver 8" type, 16oz bp hammer, garage creeper, mirror, digital camera, flashlight and a white buisness card. :bang
being a good judge of character is also a good plus to have, but this isnt an easy trait to learn.
Time and education are all that it takes.
