So what about the Pads at the end of each side of the spring

ha ha ...sounds like you want it real low.. I trim off the rubber from the bottom side of the ends. I leave just a "coating" so when it sits in the lower a amm, theres a little barrier between the spring and arm.
Also, back to the stock wedges/pads.. The 2 brackets that hold the srping to the body, theres 2 metal shims up there you can remove too.

Well I want it Low but not so low that I cant drive it Or not to low that it will trash my car or hurt the suspension. i cant wait to start working on the front

.....Have you dropped it yet?
Once you get it dropped take it to a good alignment shop. Non stock alignment specs can be found here

I hope your wife is better now. I don't miss drivng the vette in Colorado's arctic temps...

she is much better now thanks. I have the front end of the vette raised in the air tires off spring loose but with the weather at Zero its a slow job. I hate driving in Colorado Winters people here are crazy............We are looking forward to moving back to Texas soon We hope....

I haven't gone as low as our Oahu buddy but with the 315/35x17s it is plenty low for street driving. The car sees no frost heave roads and the roads are much better than most parts of the country. HOWEVER, speed bumps and even my modest driveway is a PITA. I think it the Vette is down about 1".

Looks are cool, but I got it to drive it, so I suggest some caution with the front, which is harder to return to a higher plane.

Done At Last. Why did I wait so Long

Ok after talking about it and talking about it and procrastinating until the Cows came home I finally did it. I lowered the front today. It went by really fast and after pushing it out of the drive way ( snow cover streets still ) I am done. It looks great and I m hoping it drops even more after settling more. I did have a bit of scraping when I went over a speed bump. I love it I need to drop the back more now. LOL. I will do that tomorrow. I will add pictures tomorrow as well. It drives great and looks amazing,

Thanks for all your help everyone

Congrats on getting your car lowered..... Car will continue to settle for a while drive it a couple times and watch it drop.
