Whilst doing a bit of re-wiring, I pulled off the mini starter and re-did the wire runs to it... enter the homer problem I never labeled them. And I dont have the instructions provided anymore :(

The wiring still maintains all the original runs and connection sizes as I didnt wish to bubba anything, and as this took longer then I originally hoped I cant seem to recall how they hook up.

Anyone help out here?

red70vette,

The 75, some of its wiring was in bad shape. I've gone thru the AIM and HAYNES manuals, but I'm not an electrical engeneer, the AIM is ok, as it has a partial picture. But its still unclear, and my mind isnt quite as young as it once was.

I spose I could hook up the original style starter to try different combos till I hit the mark then swap over to the mini starter, but I'm affraid I'll do more damge then good that way.

If you (or someone else) can scan a copy of the '75 wiring diagram, I can try and give you a hand.

Heres the one out of the AIM,

I'm pretty sure I have figured out the others but these last 2 are the ones I'm 100% on.

One is black and one is red I kept the original colors when I re did them, just want to follow my assumptions that black is ground red is hot.

The red has dual leads pigtailed to the single connecter which I assume is the 2D-10 2A 14 which I think translates into 2 amp 14 guage???

I'll try and scan up the hayes diagram, but even with my limited knowledge and looking harder at the diagram it looks like the black is the ground for the engine harnes that attached to the hood switch anti-theft module and wiper motor.

So heres a recount thus far

Wires coming from top left of starter

1 double red, small guage, big end, rubberized insulated end -- ??
1 pink, small guage, small end, rubberized insulated end -- attaches to ignition ( i think as its the only place it fits )(old S post on original starter)
1 black, small guage, big end -- ??
1 black, big guage, big end -- Battery terminal on starter

Wire coming from right of starter

1 black big guage -- starter ground

heres a pic of the starter, not like it will help, but it shows the only 2 available connection points, the lower is bat the upper is ignition
