After following the IAC procedure many time, my 1990 TPI do not start well when it's cold. If I don't mash throttle a little, engine stall, until is hot....
All tests are ok on IAC motor....
when I connect diagnotisc connector from "A" to "B" I can ear IAC motor noise....
So, all seems ok, but how to be sure IAC is closed???
(My engine seems running rich.....and all other sensors ar ok)
an idea??
Thanks
Jluc

You might need to do a minimun idle speed adjustment. Also check the TPS voltages. The idle adjustment is behind a plug above the throttle, there is a proceedure in the shop manual. With the IAC all the way in the car should idle at about 500rpm in gear. You might have leaking injectors to. Try some good fuel system cleaner a time or two and it might help.
