ok guy's i have my car running
i open the hood
and i disscounect the vacume hose going to my idle control stuff

and it makes no affect on the engine
should it do this?
it says in my book that that is accutally a motor or something. maybe that motor doens't work or something

The idle air has four wires going to it on a square shaped plug. Sounds like you pulled your emissions breather return line off, or your main vacuum that runs over to the purge, etc.

The Idle Air is just below the TPS on the passenger side of the engine. It is an electric motor that controls idle air volume.
