Ignition cylinder wiring

I know that the 86 is HEI but I machined for a 383 stroker .. and have a MSD ready to run w/vacuum advance . I am just having trouble with the ignition cylinder wiring . I need to find the wires so that I can attach them to the coil is it necessary ? My vehicle wiring knowledge is pre-school level maybe kindergarten at best Can anyone help me find these two wires?

Just like it says, you will use the Pink 12 gauge wire that feeds your HEI to power up your MSD

Remember to control your vacuum advance from a ported source

Would the pink wire be above the pedals near the ignition cylinder or would it be next to the old HEI distributor wiring harness?
I found this one near the distributor that is pink or faded red that plugged into the old huge HEI . Am I supposed to solder it up to lead it to the new ignition coil? Thanks for your reply

Are you installing a non HEI distributor with a separate coil?

So all I would have to do is connect that wire to the positive side of the coil then right ?
