yes it is ruby red inside and out.
As far as i can tell the car is a real 40th anniversary edition. It has the ruby red interior and the paint. The seats say 40th on them and the badges are all 40th. After reading some of the threads here im going to do a vin search to verify but to be honest i love the car so much i would keep it anyhow.

All the indicators you mentioned lean toward a Anniversary Edition. The LT1 is a good engine. Just be aware of the hazards of the Opti Crap (Opti Spark) distributor. I had 3 Camaro Z28's and that part was the only issue I ever had. The really bad part is that they are expensive. Keep an eye on your water pump. If it shows any signs of leaking or seeping from the vent hole in the bottom, change it. Water pump failure is the number one cause of Opti failure. If you do change a water pump, cover the Opti completely. Enjoy your Vette!!!
