I've been working on my engine compartment for the last 3 months now, and have made it look very nice. very close to stock as most i have seen at the car shows. I had the car sitting outside the garage to do some washing and cleaning. (mostly dust from sitting so long).
I happen to notice that the sky was getting dark, and the forecast was for rain, so I decide to back it into the garage for shelter. Heres where it all goes bad...
(bite lip here)
I start to back the car up, but the hood is still up. :eyerole
I then yell to the 14 year old neighbor kid to shut my hood for me. no problem, right?
wrong......
He grabs the hood and proceeeds to hang his weight on it "pulling" it shut.
Hinges bent, small crack in the fiberglass under passenger side hinge, and chipped paint on the hood.
guess I'll be working on it another 3 months....
