Injector / Node Test Light

Another question regarding fuel injection. Can anyone assist me by answering the following: With the ignition in the on position and node test light installed into an injector power connection should the node light be on or off?? Second question, with the node test light installed and the engine running how should the node test light be acting if the circuit is ok??

Node light should be off with the ignition on and engine not running. With engine running, node like will flicker on and off, very quick flashes as the injector wiring harness receives its signal from the ECM.
